Privacy Policy — Budgeta

The short version Budgeta works entirely offline. We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any of your personal or financial data. Everything you enter stays on your device, in your control, at all times.

1.Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Budgeta ("the App", "we", "our") handles information when you use our mobile application. Budgeta is designed as an offline-first personal finance and budgeting tool, and this policy reflects that design choice.

By using Budgeta, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2.Information We Collect

Budgeta does not collect any personal or financial information. Specifically:

No account required

Budgeta does not require you to sign up, log in, or provide an email address, phone number, or any identifying information.

No data transmission

The App does not connect to the internet to send your transactions, wallets, budgets, or any other data to us or to any third party.

No analytics or advertising trackers

Budgeta does not embed third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or behavioral tracking tools.

3.Where Your Data Is Stored

All information you enter into Budgeta — wallets, transactions, categories, budgets, notes, and any attached receipt photos — is stored exclusively in a local database on your device. This data:

Never leaves your device unless you explicitly export or back it up yourself
Is not accessible to us, the developer, or any third party
Is deleted permanently if you uninstall the App or manually clear its data, unless you have created your own backup

4.Device Permissions

Budgeta may request the following device permissions, used solely to power features you actively choose to use:

Permission	Purpose
Camera	To let you attach a photo of a receipt to a transaction. Photos are stored locally only.
Storage / Files	To save your local database, exported CSV files, and backup files on your device.
Notifications	To show local reminders, such as budget limit warnings — generated entirely on your device.

None of these permissions are used to collect data for transmission elsewhere.

5.Data Backup, Export & Restore

Budgeta lets you export your data (for example, as a CSV file) or create a local backup file. These files are created and stored wherever you choose on your device or its connected storage (e.g. a folder you pick, or a cloud-storage app you separately install). We do not have access to these files, and any cloud storage you choose to use is governed by that provider's own privacy policy, not ours.

6.Children's Privacy

Budgeta does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information at all. The App is not directed at children and contains no social, chat, or data-sharing features.

7.Third-Party Services

Budgeta does not integrate third-party advertising, analytics, or data-processing services. If a future version of the App introduces an optional feature that involves a third-party service (for example, an optional cloud sync), this policy will be updated in advance, and the feature will be opt-in — never enabled by default.

8.Your Control Over Your Data

Because all data lives on your device, you are always in full control:

You can edit or delete any transaction, wallet, budget, or category at any time within the App
You can export your data at any time
You can permanently erase all data by uninstalling the App or clearing its storage from your device settings

9.Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if new features change how data is handled. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and material changes will be noted in the App's update notes.
